What Is a Vocation?
Vocation is a personal invitation from God to follow a path of service. For the Salesians of Don Bosco, this means dedicating your life to the young — especially the poor and disadvantaged — through education, pastoral care, and community life. The Anglophone West Africa Province welcomes those who feel called to this mission.
Becoming a Salesian
The journey to becoming a Salesian involves discernment, formation, and a commitment to living out Don Bosco's vision. If you are considering religious life or simply want to learn more, reach out to the vocation coordinator in your country.
Become a Volunteer
Not everyone is called to religious life, but many are called to serve. Volunteers play a vital role in our youth centres, schools, and outreach programmes. Contact a coordinator below to explore volunteer opportunities in your area.

In Ghana, the Salesians of Don Bosco carry forward their mission of youth pastoral care and education, reaching out to young people in communities where opportunity is scarce. Through technical training institutes, primary and secondary schools, and youth centers, Salesians provide practical skills and moral formation that help children and adolescents build dignified futures. Parish communities, oratories, and after-school programs offer safe spaces for growth, play, and faith development. The province's work in Ghana focuses especially on supporting vulnerable children and those living in poverty, ensuring that every young person has access to quality education and the chance to discover their God-given potential. Vocational training and capacity-building initiatives further equip youth for meaningful employment and leadership.
