(AFW-Nigeria) – Commemoration of the One Hail Mary that Started Salesian Oratory.

(MHC Iju, Lagos) – A Rosary circle in commemoration of the one hail Mary that started the work of Don Bosco with Bartholomeo Garelli was held at Mary Help of Christians at Iju.

On 8 December 1841, in fact, Don Bosco met Bartolomeo Garelli, a demotivated but resourceful boy. And so, with a simple Hail Mary recited together, on that distant 8 December 1841, the Salesian oratory began!

It is considered a HOME that welcomes, a SCHOOL that teaches (educates), a PARISH that evangelises in the faith and a PLAYGROUND that friends can meet and have fun.

The Salesian Oratory has been a place of fun and peace for many young people all over the world. Happy birthday Oratory!
