(Ashiaman – Ghana) – On Monday 2nd September 2019 a one-storey classroom and laboratory facility was handed over to Don Bosco Technical Institute Ashiaman as the first phase of Solar Project comes to an end.
The Solar project – DBTI Ashaiman was funded by Don Bosco Jugendhilfe Weltweit (JuWe) Beramunster- Switzerland and Implemented by the Provincial Development Organism, Anglophone West Africa Province.
The Project Coordinator of the Province Mr. George Tetteh-Coffie handed over the building facility to Fr. Charles Ike, The Principal of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Ashaiman and Fr Joseph Aikarachalil Mathai (TVET Director) under the supervision of the Provincial, Fr Micheal Karikunnel.
The Infrastructural facility for Solar and Renewable Energy Project happens to be the first in Ghana and has the potential to train over 150 solar technicians yearly.
