(AFW – Nigeria) – “The Oratory Movie” Live in Iju.

(Lagos – Nigeria) – The oratory is a place where many young people get training in good communication and interpersonal skills through play. After shooting some parts in Italy, the cast and crew of the movie, THE ORATORY are in Lagos, Nigeria to conclude the other part. The effort is being coordinated by the Social Communications department of Anglophone West Africa province and Fr Cyril Odia is leading the crew to create this masterpiece. It showcase Don Bosco story from an African perspective and gives many life lessons. Watch out for the movie soon.

(AFW – Nigeria) – New computer lab donated by The Episcopal Conference of Italy (CEI)

(Onitsha- Nigeria) – The digital age requires all to be computer literate.
The Episcopal Conference of Italy (CEI) has supported our learning centre in Onitsha with a brand new computer laboratory.
The learning centre has a potential of training over 1000 young people year round.
Thank you to Episcopal Conference of Italy (CEI) for supporting the young and vulnerable.

AFW – Nigeria) – Visit of the CWO South Deanery of the Ibadan Archdiocese to Bosco Boys Ibadan.

(Ibadan – Nigeria) – The Catholic Women Organization of Ibadan Archdiocese visited the Bosco Boys Ibadan to share today with them. After talking to the boys they presented some items to the boys. We say a big thank you to CWO South Deanery for their visit to Bosco Boys Ibadan.

(AFW- Nigeria)- First oratory of the academic year at the Don Bosco Institute of Philosophy.

(Ibadan -Nigeria) – We believe in meeting young people in their world. Our oratories are the perfect places to meet them.
That is why our students at Don Bosco Institute of Philosophy have to experience the life in the oratory.
The Rector of our community at Ibadan Fr. Charles Uzoeto introduced our first year brothers to the others at the oratory.
We wish them a successful year of learning.

(AFW – Sierra Leone) – Parents/Teachers Meeting, at St. Augustine Nursery and Primary Schools, Dworzark.

(Freetown – Sierra Leone) – Parents are one of the major stakeholders at St. Augustine Nursery and Primary Schools, Dworzark.
On Friday 27th September 2019 the teachers met the parents to discuss the welfare of their wards.
At the meeting many topics were discussed to benefit the children in the school.

(AFW-Ghana)- Don Bosco together with others CSOs storm Ashaiman market to sensitize market women about the SDGs as part of Global Action Week on the SDGs

(Ashaiman – Ghana)- Don Bosco Anglophone West Africa Province have been advocating and promoting the sustainable development goals. Our work with the young especially the vulnerable has helped lift many from poverty. On 26th of September we went to the Ashaiman market a place they call under bridge to share the SDGs to the women doing brisk business. The team explained to the women the SDGs and shared some souvenirs to help them remember the SDGs. The sustainable development goals should be the goal of everyone and we at Don Bosco will make it possible.

(AFW – Sierra Leone) – A Good Start at St. Augustine Nursery and Primary Schools Dworzark.

(Freetown – Sierra Leone) – St Augustine Nursery and Primary schools Dzorwark started the term with a Eucharistic celebration to entrust the term into the hands of God.
We Salesians believe that training young people should be holistic so we ensure they are good Christians and honest citizens.
Fr Valiplackel Jose was the officiating and in attendance were all the staff and students of St. Augustine Nursery and Primary schools, Dworzark, Freetown, Sierra Leone.
We pray with them for a successful term.

(AFW- Ghana)- Don Bosco Marks Global Week of Action on the Sustainable Development Goals.

(Ashiaman- Ghana) – Don Bosco Anglophone West Africa province has joined other Ghana Civil Society Platform on SDGs to mark this years Global Week of Action on the SDGs in Ghana.
The strike which brought together young people holding placards which read,
“No development without climate action.
The future is ours  , do not destroy it.”
“No future without climate action.”
“Our planet matters, save her first.”
The theme is “Stand Together Now.”
Join us from Today Friday 20th to Friday 27th to mark the Global Week of Action on the SDGs in Ghana as world leaders attend the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Let us Stand Together Now for a Peaceful, Just and Sustainable World.

(AFW – Nigeria) – Holiday Camp St Bahkita Community Abuja

(Abuja – Nigeria) -The Salesians of Don Bosco Anglophone West Africa Province has organised the 2019 holiday camp for children and animators of the Church of the Archangels, Kaduwa, Abuja. The theme for this years camp was “That My Joy May Be in You” with a slogan “Holiness For You Too”. The program provided opportunity for children to make proper use of their summer through learning and fun. The camp activities began from the 9th to 30th of August 2019. The total number of 165 children participated. The camp activities combined both spiritual, educational and social programs. There was weekly morning masses and prayers to cater for the spiritual needs of the children. Various subjects were taught to the kids to keep the kids alive with their studies. Skills acquisition were also taught during the camp to enhance creativity and creative mind of the children and to make them self reliant in future. The children also had the opportunity to embark on an excursion to the magnificent. Abuja National stadium. This years camp was organised by Br. Stephen Timnomo and was directed by Fr. Fedelis Agbara. Special thanks goes to Mrs Uche Ocwechume, Dr Emmanuel Ochechwu. Mrs Mary Jane and Mrs Rose Emma Okoro the CWO president of the Church of the Archangels Parish Kaduwa Abuja.

(AFW- Nigeria) – JOBITECH Builds Local Inverter

(Onitsha – Nigeria) – Our engineering students have built inverters with the help of Fr Samuel Agudosi.
We construct inverters with capacity ranging from 1KVA to 30 KVA
These solar inverters aids in changing the DC into AC using solar power.
We hope to see many local inventions from our young ones.
