Ghana – Atelindo Community Gets a New Borehole

A project in Honour of the Rector Major of the Salesian of Don Bosco, Don Angel Artime’ supported by Salesian Missions Inc. New Rochelle, NY’ and implemented by Don Bosco Youth Network West Africa (DBYN) with the Salesian Community in Tatale.

Atelindo is one of the 43 Christian communities (Town) under the SS. Peter and Paul parish Tatale North west of Ghana.

And Salesians are the ones taking care of the parish now.

When we came in 2015 the chiefs and the people accepted us.

We then discovered that they depended heavily on streams which dried in the dry season.

With no water many children leave school in search of water after walking long distances.
The water was also contaminated and caused illness.

Don Bosco is now giving water to many of these communities.
You are always welcome to support our one community one borehole project.

This is a thank you message form Atelindo community to you our benefactors for donating this borehole.

God bless you.
