22 January 2019 Tatale, Ghana. Br Günter Mayer (Director, Don Bosco Mission Austria) who was formerly the Economer of Angophone West Africa for many years and Architect Peter Reischer of Austria visited the Provincial Development Organism of Anglophone West Africa.
From the office in Ashiaman they met Fr. Micheal our Provincial and other staff then moved with Benson Boateng the CEO of Don Bosco Youth Network to Tatale.
Their visit to Tatale is on preparation for an initiative to establish a self-fulfilling skill training center in Tatale using indigenous knowledge and local materials such as clay, stone and wood for construction.
The people of Tatale have a skill gap which mostly leads to young men and women migrating to the cities like Accra or even outside the country.
The chief, district assembly and the local community were well represented in the meetings and discussions.
They see the work of the Salesians of Don Bosco and their donors to be an answer to their prayers to get their community developed.
